I'm getting married! - More Details

MADRID, SPAIN - um, RADIOHEAD

so aparently all the heat that was missing from barcelona, is here. its freaking oppressive. i guess it's like this at home too, but still. thing is, i don't really care, cause i just bought my ticket to RADIOHEAD! aahhhh! and not too expensive either. they're playing in some bullfighting arena here in madrid in a week. i'm currently trying to figure out the details of going somewhere else, and then bringing a night train back here to madrid. those night trains are pretty darn slick. for less than the price of a hostel, i get a semi-comfortable, secure bed. i woke up and i was here. sure i hadn't showered in 4 days so i was a little gross, but still. especially here in spain i'm thinking, as the trains are slow as molasses and everything is far away. aaanyways, i WILL be back here on the 16th, however it works out.

speaking of spending money on tickets, i also purchased myself a ticket to see 'la fantasma de la opera', (the musical, hopefully in spanish), for tonight! my hostel is smack dab in the middle of the theatre district here, so i was out walking around today and stumbled upon it. i'm quite excited. my spanish is getting good enough, and i'm familiar enough with the show to where i should enjoy it thoroughly.

other than those things, nothing much new really... tomorrow is museum day, as there are 3 quite good museums here in madrid, including the prado, probably one of the best in the world. but for now, i must track down some food and get ready for the show..

haven't been to the prado yet, going to when go back to madrid for the the radiohead concert... buuuuut, when we were in barcelona, at the picasso museum, they have a whole room, filled with cases studies that picasso did on 'las meninas', the velazquez piece. it was by far the best part of the picasso museum, and made me want to see the original in the prado sooooo much... so yes.. i will... dusty
