not much time to write.. gotta catch a night train here real soon. headed off to see some painted monasteries in north east romania. aparently they're a sight to be seen. probably will be quite a departure from "modern" brasov. we're heading off into the middle of nowhere pretty much.
last few days have been quite wonderful really. yesterday, had SUCH a good day. went on a "tour" of three castles, including the infamous bran castle, historically associated with dracula. i say "tour", but it really was just a bus from the hostel, filled with people from the hostel. probably a dozen or so. much easier than trying to arrange to get to these places by public transport. as it turns out, the first two, dracula's and another, weren't all that special, but the third, peles something or other, was AMAZING. both outside and in, one of the best palace-castle-thingies i've seen thus far. we returned to brasov and had yet another fantastic meal, this time a little pricier (probably cost me a whole $5), but all in all, completely worth it.
today, hiking with a couple people through the surrounding mountains. pretty much an all day hike, i'm completely shattered now, and have a lovely night train ride to look forward to. at least i've convinced a handful of people to head off to the monasteries with me, so the train ride, like all other night ones, will suck, but at least i'll be with people i know.
my schedule's really screwy now, i'm honestly looking at it a day at a time. like i've said, i'm constantly battling with whether or not to go to turkey, or to croatia, and when to leave and fly back to the uk, and stressfull stuff like that. life's tough. ha. it'll come to me, i'm sure of it. gotta run now...
