STOW-ON-THE-WOLD, ENGLAND - yes, that's really the name...

so i'm sitting here in the library of 'stow', as the town is affectionaltely known as. aparently, stow-blah-blah-blah is too much for people to say, and too much for them to write on signs. bizarre. i'm in the library, (and i haven't updated lately), because aparently there's zero internet places in all of the cotswolds, the area of england where we're at presently. it really is like taking a step back in time (again). we're constantly driving through villages which are just the cutest, tinniest things you've ever seen, all dating back to who knows when. its really funny to me to walk into a place, and have the guy say 'this was around before columbus even DISCOVERED the americas'. thanks guy.

so, lots of sight seeing going on since the last post. such is vacationing with di, you get to see tons. as mentioned before, tis actually quite nice though, as i really don't even have to THINK about anything. i just follow blindly, and get to see interesting stuff.

on the drive up here, got to see more small english villages than one could count, plus a short drive into wales (wales, CHECK!), before finally arriving here. oh, add in a bunch of churches and stuff in the interim there.

yesterday, we took a bit of a day trip out of here, to visit warick castle, pretty much THE picture perfect example of a medivial castle. though turned into a disneyland-esque experience, it really was done well, and despite the freezing cold temperatures, and the torrential rains, was an enjoyable sight. from there, to stratford-upon-avon (another town with an all too long name), of course, the home of everyone's literary genious, shakespeare. after an interesting and educational tour of his house and numerous other shakespearean sights, it was off to the theatre, to see the royal shakespeare company perform 'titus andronicus'. though brutal (pretty much everyone dies), i think it surprised even george as to just how good it really was. really an enjoyable evening.

so, now my library internet thingy is saying that its going to kick me off, so unless i can figure out how to get more time, we're off to york and i'll update from there..
